Our Community in Ethiopia

Beyond formal diplomatic channels, the vibrant and highly skilled Sri Lankan expatriate community in Ethiopia serves as a dynamic bridge of grassroots diplomacy and economic synergy. Concentrated in key industrial hubs like Addis Ababa and Hawassa, Sri Lankan professionals and corporate leaders occupy pivotal roles within major regional and multinational companies, lending their global expertise, particularly in high-impact sectors like apparel manufacturing, logistics, and hospitality. 

This enterprising community not only acts as a direct catalyst for expanding Sri Lanka's foreign direct investment (FDI) in Ethiopia but also drives substantial local capacity-building by training and upskilling thousands of Ethiopian youths.
