On 30th June 2026, Poornima Abeygunasekara, Chargé d’Affaires (a.i.) hosted a Business Dialogue on Doing Business in Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Expo 2026, bringing together members of the Ethiopian business community, including representatives engaged through the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations.
The dialogue provided a valuable platform for exchanging views on trade, investment, and emerging opportunities for bilateral economic collaboration. The session also generated strong interest in Sri Lanka Expo 2026, highlighting its potential as a gateway for expanding business partnerships and commercial engagement between Sri Lanka and Ethiopia.
Reaffirming Sri Lanka's commitment to strengthening economic diplomacy, the Embassy underscored its continued dedication to facilitating meaningful business-to-business linkages, promoting investment opportunities, and fostering mutually beneficial trade relations between the two countries.
The programme concluded with a networking session over Ceylon tea and refreshments, providing participants with an opportunity to further deepen professional connections and explore future avenues for collaboration
